Usage of Bleached ShellacBest impregnant is ethanol and its congeneric thing, lac is also dissolved easily in ketone and low class fatty acids, such as A acid, acetic acid, sweet smell amine etc., but do not dissolve in the benzene, in acetone etc., but can dissolve in these not insect gum melting inside, such as join 5-10% water in acetone, then get good impregnant for lac.
For getting the low gluing degree insect gum aquas, double impregnant is recommendation. Its aqua glues degree is half lower than ethanol impregnant. The following configure is recommendatory.
Methyl alcohol+ propyl alcohol 75:25
alcohol + ethylic B ester 60:40
Methyl alcohol+ acetone 60:40
In addition to the mentioned usage of the shellac, it can also be dissolved in inorganic alkali such as carbonic acid natrium, borax and ammonia etc..
